How can I make posts on front page displayed in their shorter versions?

  Sorry, not sure if I phrased this right.

  I’d like to have posts on a separate page, Blog page.
  I’ve done that by setting it up in Settings – Reading – Static Page (Posts page – blog) but I’d like the posts to show on the main page too, but only in their short versions (with the read more option to click, for example). Can I do this?

  “Edin” is the theme I’m using.

  You can display the posts on the front page, or a static page, but not both. Some themes might display a selection of featured and recent posts as part of a front page template. That’s different.

  On themes which display by default the full posts on the posts page, you may truncate any of them with a More tag.
