Sometimes I want to follow a blog in the unspoken hope that my blog will be followed back. When I have only one blog there is no problem for following back. But if I have many blogs some of which I don’t want to be followed (for example a test blog or a still empty blog) then what could I do?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can make any test blog or empty blog private. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Thank you for your answer. There are now 5 blogs left, 3 of which are kind of old but nevertheless obsolete. My 2 most active blogs is one with only technical issues whereas the other one contains only photos to look at. The audience for these two blogs is quite different, therefore I do search for a method to do the following: Follow some blogs, where a possible follower back sees exactly a certain of my active blogs.

Follow some blogs, where a possible follower back sees exactly a certain of my active blogs.

Let’s be clear about this. No one is obligated to follow back any blog just because the blogger who owns it follows their blog. That’s a practice to be avoided. We ought to follow back blogs we choose to follow without any sense of obligation because in reality no obligation exists.

We can link our username only to a single blog ie. a primary blog, regardless of how many blogs we register under the same username account. We have no control over which blog of ours, if any, is followed by any other bloggers.

To disassociate blogs registered under the same username account we have to register an new username account reproving a different email address while logged out of WordPress.com. Then we add the new username account as an Admin of the blog we wish to trnafer to that account. Lastly you transfer the blog to the new username account.

Then you can use this process to transfer the blog > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

edit: “reproving a different” was meant to be “providing a different”
