How can I make the title stand out in a list of posts?

I am using the Sela theme. With this article – as a reference, I have set up pages to display my posts by category and that’s working.

The problem is that I want to use the color palette that has a dark grey for the header bar because that’s what looks best with my photos. However, on the pages that display the posts, the links to the post titles are the same color as the text, whereas the other color palettes use a color that stands out for the links.

Is there something I can do to either make the post titles stand out (bold, a different color than the theme color) or add space between each listing so that the page is not a sea of text?

You can see one of the pages here.

    Hi @azimuth55,

I am using the Sela theme. With this article - as a reference, I have set up pages to display my posts by category, and that's working.

Display Post Shortcode feature to show the links within a different blog, or at the bottom of a blog. By using this feature, you can set up your page but as you mention in the following details that the display is not appealing.

I would suggest, you set up a Category page using the guidelines here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

Having a closer look at your site, you need to follow these steps to set up the page:
1)Just make sure your Menu item “Photography” is set up as a category page.
2)Make sure all the Posts which have to appear in the “Photography” are assigned the connected category.
3)One’s you have set up the page, have a look at the format of the page. It should be more organized, the way you expect it to be.

Also, it is possible to have the changes you mention for spacing, fonts, etc. Using the Custom CSS options in Premium Plan.
But my suggestion would be you can give it a try to the above steps and let me know how it goes.

Please feel free to get back to me for any questions.

    Thanks!

I don’t think that works for what I want to do. Currently, I have the page set up on the menu, but when I figure out how to make it look good, it will be a child page of my static home page and the home page will use the grid format.

Also, I want to display a list of posts with an excerpt, not all the posts in that category.
