How can I make the width of my main content column wider?

    I would like to make the main content window wider because I put a lot of code in my posts and I would like to minimize on unnecessary line wrapping. I went to wp-admin -> Appearance but I do not see the Editor option so that I can customize the CSS.

    I am using the free Independent Publisher theme.

    How can I update this theme so that I can have a wider content area?

    Hi there! The theme doesn’t have a built-in option for changing the width of things, but you’re right that CSS could be an option for that!

    However, custom CSS requires the Premium upgrade. If you have the upgrade, when you go into Customize, you’ll see a CSS area to expand and add your CSS.

    On the free site, if you go into Customize > Custom Design and click Try Now, that’ll add the CSS area to Customize temporarily so you can try it out, but the changes you make there won’t save onto your site without the upgrade.
