How can I make this a website and not a blog?

I am trying to make a website. I ordered wordpress premium and it is only having me make a blog. I don’t know how to make it a website when it has a template for a blog. I have a template to upload.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, you can indeed create a website here. It doesn’t have to be a blog. In order to do this, you will create a static front page:
en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
You don’t have to write any blog posts, or have a blog page anywhere on your website.However, you’ve currently chosen a WordPress.com theme (Ryu) that is specifically geared toward bloggers. I’m happy to help you find another at:

I very much would like to be able to upload my own template and self host. If I switch to wordpress.org and set up a site that way, will I be able to cancel my wordpress.com premium subscription?
