How can I make WordPress handle my email
-
I have been searching for this in the forums and didn’t find anything
I bought a godaddy domain and a domain mapping here so I can use my custom domain. Everything is fine.
The problem is that I don’t need to actually use any email with this domain, but I would like that my visitors can send emails tu an address like “(email visible only to moderators and staff)” so I think that email forward is the answer.
But in the domain editing area it says that my email is being handled by GoDaddy and not by WordPress. How can I make WordPress handle my email? May I just delete the default MX records on the GoDaddy dns side?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there. You can set up email forwarding from a virtual email address connected to your domain (http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/) or you can connect your email already hosted at GoDaddy to your WordPress account (http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-godaddy-email/)
I don’t have any direct experience with this so that’s as far as I can help you. If you need more assistance with this, add “modlook” to the tags and then wait for a response from a staff member to take you further.

If you just want visitors to contact you – use a contact form – then spammers can’t get your email address – form gets sent to your regular email address if you want

They can also use email forwarding if they want an address to match the custom domain name
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/
But I use the Contact Form on my site to make it easy for someone to contact me if they want and in a couple of cases to request more info on other things and the request goes to other people
