How can I map my Intuit domain to WordPress.com site?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have been trying for several days to map my intuit domain to my new wordpress blog. I have changed the nameservers, changed my primary domain, and cleared my cache, but when I type in the URL (www.pearlexpressyork.com) I get a message saying “Server not found.” I still have to type http://www.pearlexpressyork.wordpress.com in order to pull up the page, then it changes to http://www.pearlexpressyork.com after the page has been pulled up. I have tried the Domain Helper. It tells me everything is fine. This is very frustrating, please help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

After looking into your account, I found that you registered the domain: pearlexpresyork.com (with one S) not pearlexpressyork.com. After doing a quick search I found that pearlexpressyork.com is already taken. If you would like to keep this domain you can, but other options include:

    pearlexpressyork.org
    pearlexpressyork.net
    pearlexpressyork.me

If you are currently the owner of pearlexpressyork.com you can map the domain through this guide.

If the nameservers have been updated, you just need to add the Domain Mapping Upgrade ($13/year) and add the domain to your site. You can find more information about that in the guide I showed you above.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

I am the owner of this domain. I tried to map it to my wordpress blog from intuit, following the guide to map it to wordpress, but it still didn’t work, even after I cleared the cache. I changed the nameservers. Is there anything else I’m supposed to do? When it didn’t map properly I went through the steps to register it with wordpress, but I didn’t type the name properly. I don’t even know if I was supposed to register it with you guys. The pearlexpresyork.com (with one “s”) needs to be deleted I guess.

By the way, I already have the package that includes the $13 upgrade.

    Hi there,

The reason it didn’t work is that you registered the domain: pearlexpresyork.com (with one S) instead of mapping the domain: pearlexpressyork.com.

I have canceled the domain: pearlexpresyork.com since it is unnecessary and instead added the domain mapping for pearlexpressyork.com (it is apart of the WordPress.com Premium upgrade so you were not charged extra). I just checked your site and it is now up and running!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
