I do not know if it is still possible, since all the Support Docs referring to Windows Live Spaces are no longer available.
When Support returns on Monday or so, please contact them directly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

So, again, I suggest that creatxr contact the Live Spaces people to see if they can pull a rabbit out of their hat. But, if there’s no export file available, as this Windows Live Spaces Help doc seems to suggest http://explore.live.com/windows-live-spaces-help-center , then it’s an excellent time to start fresh.

I also did not receive the e-mail. I hardly use that account at all and was able to go back to January and found nothing. I’m so upset! It’s like losing a chunk of your life, like your house burning down and all your photos and journals going with it. I can replace books and clothes, but how to you recreate the unique writings of your own life experiences once they’re gone? I’m so upset…. I’m not even mad, just totally numb. I had no idea, and now it’s – gone.

I don’t know if Google crawled Windows Live or not – if Google crawled your pages you might be able to find some of your writings in the Google Cache. The hard way to do it for sure – but worth a try. Try searching on your old URL.

And there’s also the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. http://web.archive.org/ Worth a try. (It always gives me a chuckle looking at my old geocities site.)

But they Wayback machine does not seem to want to save anything on my site except the blank pages from way before I got the domain – oh well – so much for history
