Hi there!
Some changes to the Visual editor (including editing an image from a post) have been implemented, you can read more about those changes here:
Let me address your individual questions:
How can I move images around the post?
Currently, you can drag and drop images within a post that do not have a caption. When you add a caption, the drag and drop is disabled. Can you give this a try and make sure it’s working on your side?
cutting and pasting in place of images within the post also doesn’t work
This should still be working as well. I tested this functionality and was able to cut an image and paste it using CMD + X and CMD + V. Is the image just not being removed when you attempt to cut it?
and inserting and writing text after an image with a caption is also not working. the text goes into the caption field
When after adding a caption, pressing “Enter” should bump you out of the caption field and into the body of the post. Is this not working on your side as well?

Hi Jeremy,
I’m relatively new to blogging and to wordpress, so just getting used to how things work …. the changes threw me a bit.
Thanks for your help. All works as you described.
