How Can I Organize My Blog in a Better Way?
-
I am losing followers, but I’m not sure why. I know what I want to do with my blog. I understand my goals. I want to show how a personality disorder develops, that is one goal. I also want to inspire others who are struggling with mental illness, there is the other.
I can’t figure out how to get my blog to serve both goals and I’m wondering if it can even be done.
My blog does not have the look I want. It’s not the theme, that’s fine. What I don’t like about my blog is that by default every post goes on top, but that’s not what I want. I don’t want the posts to be in date order only, like a diary does, I want them to fall under their own categories FIRST and to appear in chronological order UNDER that category.
So for instance, when I’m writing about the Early Years, which shows the development of BPD, I don’t want a post in that category to appear on top of a post that falls under the Gratitude or Meditation category. I want them to be completely separate. I hope I am making sense!
Is there a way I can accomplish this?
I am wondering if someone can look at my blog and give me some tips. If I am losing followers something is wrong!

A blog is essentailly a reverse chronological publshing tool and that cannot be reversed on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If you wish you can create a book-like structure.

Something else I forgot to mention, is there a way I can get rid of the older posts and newer posts links at the bottom of the pages? If needed, I could provide a link to a blog that looks the way I want mine to look, without the newer posts/older posts arrows.

Ok, I found it in spam. It just says you tried to comment and couldn’t. I don’t know why that is, but I’m sorry.

a) If you don’t all the posts to show up in chronological order regardless of category, you need to set a static page as your front. Create a suitable welcome/intro page in Pages > Add New, then go to Settings > Reading and set your front to display that page.
b) Then create a custom menu in Appearance > Menus, add your pages and your categories to it, and set it as your top menu by selecting it from the Theme Locations pulldown. More details here: -
