How can I pay, and can we waive the late fee please?

    Cannot locate where to pay, as the blog had been suspended. The payment notifications went to a person who no longer works at our organization, and I am unable to pay. Is it possible we could please have the late fee removed and the payment go back to the disable date?

    That’s not possible as the late fee is set by the domain registrar and not by WordPress.com. The registrar who owns the domain when you fail to renew and allow it to expire can charge a redemption fee of any amount they like and can do whatever they wish with the domain.

    In fact, there’s a whole industry built around domain squatters who purchase expired domains via auction and charge whatever they want to whoever wants to buy them.

    If you’re referring to the site at appfoodheritage.wordpress.com, that site is in good standing and has no custom domain.

    If you’re referring to a different site with an expired domain (but which is in good standing with WordPress.com otherwise), please let me know what that site address is.
