how can I post to a category and not to uncategorized home page/

  my posts appear in uncategorized Home page as well as in the category I posted them. How can I delete them from uncategorized Home page? I did untick the categorized box when editing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  All your posts go in the main blog page. That is its function. You can set a static page as your landing page and then use a custom menu to exclude the blog itself from tabs if you want http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/ but you will lose ranking in search engines for this.
