How can I prevent the featured image from replacing the title graphic?
-
In my last few posts setting a feature image is now replacing the title image for my blog. I don’t like this as the images are not appropriate for the title. For example:

Previously the featured image did not do this, for example:

The reason I use featured images is for other linking sites that show an image with the post, such as Reddit and the main WordPress listing. I want my featured image shown there, but not as a title on my page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Mortoray,
The default behavior for the Chateau theme is to replace your Custom Header with a post’s Featured Image when viewing that post’s page.
When the featured image is less than 960 x 260 pixels the featured image is not displayed as a custom header. This is the case in your second link.
Given that, the simplest way to ensure no feature images take that custom header spot is to use the Edit Image tool to scale any large images down to a width of 959 pixels. This has the fringe benefit of using less space in your media library as well.
Best,
-Alex G.
