How Can I Properly Set Up My Homepage and Blog Page on WordPress.com?

    Hello everyone,

    I’m currently setting up my website on WordPress.com and I’m a bit confused about how to properly configure my homepage and blog page.

    Here’s what I’m trying to do:

    • I want a custom homepage (with a welcome section, images, and some info about my site).
    • I also want a separate page for my blog posts (like example.com/blog).

    I’ve already created two pages — “Home” and “Blog” — but I’m not sure how to connect them correctly in the settings so that the homepage shows my custom design and the blog page automatically displays new posts.

    Could someone please explain step-by-step how to set this up in WordPress.com?
    Do I need to adjust anything in the Reading Settings or within my theme (I’m using the Kadence theme)?

    Any help or screenshots would be greatly appreciated.

    That’s a great question — setting up a custom homepage and separate blog page can be confusing at first.
    In WordPress.com, you can easily do it by going to Settings → Reading → Your homepage displays, then selecting “A static page.” Set your “Home” page as the homepage and your “Blog” page as the posts page.
