How can i put a google’s map in a pge or post?
-
Hi, I’ve a Google’s map
this
http://maps.google.it/maps/ms?hl=it&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117313886915092920696.0004569f7fb6849db9456&ll=42.747012,11.953125&spn=12.904492,27.070313&z=5
I’d like to add inside a page
A friends of mine told me to add this<iframe width=”525″ height=”450″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” marginheight=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ src=”http://maps.google.it/maps/ms?hl=it&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117313886915092920696.0004569f7fb6849db9456&ll=42.875964,11.90918&spn=14.422009,28.125&output=embed”></iframe>
But doesnt’t work
I’ve changed theme, sometimes i’ve seen the map in the post, but after the save I see thishttp://cubepark.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=1378
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
As you are new you will want to bookmark this link to the answers to FAQs as you can get answers much more quickly by looking there before posting to the forum. http://en.support.wordpress.comHere’s the link to the Google Maps entry (Embeds, Google, Maps, Shortcode) http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/
Happy blogging! -

@raincoaster
The FAQ says (pt. 6) the iframe code must be put directly into visual editor and WP will automatically convert it to the required shortcode in order to work with our platform. Well, never tried it before and am sure not a native english after all but at least that’s what I read from the link TT provided. -
I don’t know what to say…doesn’t work
However
This is the iframe code
Some one can try…
Am I so dumb?
maybe yes..
Could be the theme of wordpress the problem?
<iframe width=”525″ height=”450″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” marginheight=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ src=”http://maps.google.it/maps/ms?hl=it&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117313886915092920696.0004569f7fb6849db9456&ll=42.875964,11.90918&spn=14.422009,28.125&output=embed”></iframe> -
Try to get the code once again as explained at the support page then have it on your page using visual editor (not post) and see how it works. Sorry I can’t help further due to lack of blogging device and coding experience — am on mobile phone fyi.

You are using the WRONG code. The Google map page gives you two kinds of code, and you are using the one that does not work. Use the OTHER code, not the one that starts with “iframe”. Just follow the instructions in the link you were given exactly.

@cubepark: The code you pasted here is only half of the provided/required code:
<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.it/maps/ms?hl=it&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117313886915092920696.0004569f7fb6849db9456&ll=42.747012,11.953125&spn=12.904492,27.070313&output=embed"></iframe><br /><small>Visualizza <a href="http://maps.google.it/maps/ms?hl=it&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=117313886915092920696.0004569f7fb6849db9456&ll=42.747012,11.953125&spn=12.904492,27.070313&source=embed" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">Rubik's Map</a> in una mappa di dimensioni maggiori</small>I pasted that in the visual editor and it worked as per the Support info page.

Ah, glad to know it works as suggested by the Support page, Panos. Somebody should update that particular page if it’s not applicable, otherwise :)
