How can I put my site offline?

  Hi. I’m new to WordPress. Can anyone tell me how I can put my wordpress.com site temporarily off-line? Thanks.

  If your blog is here at wordpress.COM, then go to settings > privacy and set it to private (bottom option) and click save changes.

  Please always provide a link to your blog when asking questions since most times we need to look at the blog in order to help.
