How can I reduce the size of my blog post titles when they're connected to my site title?
-
Hello, I would like to reduce the font size of my blog post titles, but am unable to do this because they’re linked to the font size of my site title. I want to keep my site title at 10, but reduce the blog post titles. Is there a way of disconnecting the two? Thanks very much.

Hey there!
Since you have the Custom Design upgrade, you can adjust your theme’s CSS to change the color of that text.
If you’d like to give this a try, go to your customizer by clicking the link below:
https://homegrownkate.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhomegrownkate.wordpress.com%2FThen, click CSS in your menu. In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following underneath all existing text:
.page-title, .entry-title, .entry-title a {
font-size: .7em;
}Then Save your changes. That should do the trick!
For more detailed instruction on how you can make CSS adjustments on your own, take a look at these two links:

Hi there and thank you for your advice. It worked which is great, but only changed title fonts on the front page and category pages. It doesn’t seem to work if you click through to a singular blog post – it goes back to size 10 (ie: linked to the site title). Is there an extra bit of code for that or have I done something wrong? Thanks very much. PS: I’ll be reading up on the CSS links you sent, but would appreciate your help right now.

Hey there!
Certainly — here’s the blog post specific CSS:
.wf-active h1 {
font-size: 28px;
}Just add that to the existing CSS code, and save that change.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hi there,
You recently helped me with some CSS formatting. All great except the 2 CSS revisions don’t seem to be linked. ie: I would really like the blog title on the front page and the blog title when you click through to the post, to be the same size. I’ve tried formatting your CSS codes myself and have got them as close as possible, but they’re still different. Can they be linked?
Also, these CSS revisions are appearing very strangely on my customise page. They’re not accurately showing what’s published. I have to check on my iPhone to see what’s going on. Even the site title appears differently on my phone to the customise page. Can you help me with that?
Thanks again. Much appreciated. -
Hi there!
That CSS code cannot be ‘linked’ as those elements have entirely different selectors in the theme’s coding. It’s going to be a matter of experimentation for you to match those titles in the way you wish.
The Customize page and your final product may not always match…this is due to the way your browser reads the code. You may like another browser when you’re using the Customizer, such as Chrome or Firefox.
Even the site title appears differently on my phone to the customise page. Can you help me with that?
This is because the mobile version of the theme isn’t a direct match to the desktop theme. This is due to the way the theme’s developers believe their theme will best be viewed on mobile devices.
You do have some control over this, however! Take a look at this:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/mobile-themes/Do keep in mind that the CSS changes you make on your desktop website will also impact the way the site is viewed on a mobile device…you may take your CSS queries to the CSS Forum, where the “experts” can assist if you have trouble with the way your CSS appears on your site in any view:

Thanks so much!
