How can I remove category from the URL?

  Hi.
  I am experiencing problem with the URL of my website’s categories.
  I want to remove ”category” from the URL.
  I’ll give 1 of my category as an example.

  The URL for the category ‘Food’ is :
  https://www.sheercheer.com/category/food

  What I want is :
  https://www.sheercheer.com/food

  How can I do that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  sheercheer.com is hosted by Unified Layer, not by wordpress.COM.

  That site is not hosted by wordpress.COM and as it is not on our servers we cannot help you with it.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
