I’m using the Fortune theme and want to change my banner. It now lays a black layer over my photo. Can I remove that layer?

Hi there,
Sure thing! You can use Custom CSS (part of your WordPress.com Premium plan) to customize the Fortune theme on your site and remove that black layer on the banner. Here’s the CSS code you need to do that:
#hero.has-background .overlay, #primary-header .overlay, .page-header.has-featured-image .overlay { display: none; }You can add that CSS code to your site’s Customizer, in the CSS section there.
If you’d like to learn more about customizing your site with CSS, we have tips for getting started here:
If you’d like to see how other people customize their sites with CSS we also have a CSS Customization forum. It can be a great place to get ideas and help from others (including some volunteers with extensive CSS experience).
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
