  The date is embedded into every post URL. You can purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ so you can do the required CSS editing to remove the date but The date will still be embedded in the URL of every post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
