How can I remove the ending "1" from file names?
-
I’ve just imported a blog, and when I uploaded the images many files got an additional “1” after the name and before the extension, so they aren’t visible in posts. How can I remove this “1” from all affected files?

Typically that means that you have already uploaded a file with the same name, so this new file is being given a slightly different name to avoid confusion.
Can you name an example from your Media section for me?

Here is an example: http://ipensierini.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/1d19bf1682837a21ffbbfa28c0e5c905_medium1.jpg
This should be 1d19bf1682837a21ffbbfa28c0e5c905_medium.jpg
Some time ago I began to upload the images but the upload was interrupted by an IO error. Then I deleted all the uploaded images and I uploaded them again. I know that this is the problem, but I can’t change file names in the media library and I don’t want to edit every single post with embedded images.
Can I reset the media library by deleting and reopening the entire blog?
Can I delete the blog and open a new blog with the same name? -

Howdy,
The filenames are set to help improve the performance of your site, and I’m afraid there’s really no way to change them.
You’ll need to correct the URLs by using the HTML editor. Alternatively, you could remove the broken image references, and add the images that are in your media library to your posts/pages according to this guide:
