How can I remove the title of the page?
-
I just created my first site a couple of days ago, so am still a newbie.
If I understand correctly, I cannot access my site’s files if it is hosted on WordPress.com. In that case, how do I remove the name of the page from the page. In this particular case, I don’t want “landing page” to show. I know I can leave the title blank in my list of pages, but I want it to have a label.
Any help would be great!

Also, I have looked for the editor under admin–>appearance–>editor and it doesn’t exist. I assume that is because I am using wordpress.com.

I checked http://ryanscharfer.com/ and I don’t see “landing page” showing, so I think you may have figured this out already.
In regard to editing, you are correct that WordPress.com does not offer the option to edit files directly. To make changes such as hiding or showing specific content, you can use the CSS editor if you have purchased one of the WordPress.com plans.
The CSS editor can be access through the Appearance > Customize > CSS panel, and there are more details about that at http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
Another, possibly simpler, option might be to just leave the page title blank instead of keeping the title as “landing page” for the page itself.

Hello,
Actually, I am doing the second option you suggested. It’s good to know I also have the first option. Thanks!
