How can I remove widgets from a page. I followed the directions.

  I am unable to remove the search or archive widget from a particular page even though I closely followed the directions.

  Hi there,

  With the Twenty Ten theme, if you don’t have any widgets on a particular page, that page will show a set of default widgets. Since you are hiding the search widget on one of your pages and you don’t have any other widgets set to appear on that page, the theme’s default widgets are popping up.

  If you add a widget to the sidebar and make it visible on that page, the default set of widgets will no longer be used. You can add a blank Text Widget if you don’t want anything to show up in the sidebar on that page.
