How can I renew a domain without renewing hosting service?

  Hi,

  I’m moving my blog to another hosting service but my domain name expires in seven days. Can I renew the domain name without renewing the rest of the service?

  Hi Jess! You can definitely maintain your domain registration here without renewing the rest of your Premium upgrade.

  To do this, you’ll “unbundle” your Premium upgrade. Go to Store → My Upgrades in your site’s Dashboard:
  http://hallwaystudio.wordpress.com/wp-admin

  Click Cancel under the Premium upgrade. You can cancel everything you’d like, but leave the domain.

  I do see that you’ve started the domain transfer process. If you move your domain to a new host, you don’t have to worry about being charged for it again here. Your Premium upgrade is not set for auto-renew, so none of your credit card info is stored.

  Thank you for your reply. I didn’t see an option to unbundle. It looks like i have to buy the whole package to renew the domain.
