How can I report the same spam commenter?

  Each day, I receive multiple spam hits from the same address on the same post. I have put the post in draft mode and made it private, but I’m still seeing the spam. Is there a way I can report this spammer?

  I do moderate each and every comment and do not allow auto-posting of comments.

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately the only thing that can be done is for you to mark each spam comment as spam. Our akismet filters are always learning and by marking items as spam they get better at proactively finding those spammers.

  Hi amightywp,

  The problem is they DO show up in my spam folder, but they seem to be spamming the same post over and over. Sometimes, 60 times. Every day. It seems strange and so finally, as noted above, I put the post in question in “draft” to see if it made a difference. It did.

  I’ll try taking it out of draft mode in a few weeks to see if the spammer in question comes back.
