How can i request a refund for my videopress plugin?

  • Unknown's avatar

I purchased the videopress plugin a couple of days ago, tested one uploaded video, and discovered it is not compatible with the theme I am using (COLr). No problem there as it is certainly not a shortcoming of videopress, but rather of the theme itself, however after deleting the plugin from my site, I see no documentation on how to request a refund, no email I can send such a request to, no information beyond that the plugin can be refunded. I find it truly poor practice not to have any contact associated with videopress and no direct place to go with answers to questions as simple, as straightforward, and most likely as frequently requested as this.

I would like a full refund as I am going to have to go with vimeo plus because the theme I am using supports vimeo embeds.

WordPress is too good a site to have users frustrated over something as remedial as a refund…..

    Hi there,

Is this the VideoPress for ytyouthmedia.wordpress.com? You can actually cancel and request the refund for your VideoPress yourself as long as it is within 30 days of purchase.

Please go to the Store -> My Upgrades section of your dashboard, where you’ll find the VideoPress in the list of your upgrades, along with a “Cancel” button.

Hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any more questions!

Thanks! Wish I had found instructions on how to cancel an upgrade before having to post this. Not sure if this was just my oversight, but it seems that it would be most helpful if there was an article on canceling upgrades that came up on a support search….

    Cheers!

That’s a really excellent point! I’ll take a look at how easy or difficult it is to find how to cancel a product, and if it’s necessary, I’ll definitely write a help article on how to do so.

Thanks for your suggestion and have a great week!
