How can I reset a running wordpress xml import (after 3 days)? What could have gone wrong?

  Hello! I have started an import to a private blog (the xml file was exported from a different private blog on wordpress.com). The import seems to be still running, but without effect. Could I try again? How? And would should I do differently next time? Is there anything that should not be in the blog/export file (e.g. pictures, links to URLs with combined tag filters, embedded google calendar, …)

  Hi, I’ve reset the importer for you. If you’d like to upload the file somewhere we can try importing it for you.

  Also, if your old site had a lot of spam comments, you might make sure those are deleted and emptied out before creating the export. That can reduce the overall size and help prevent import errors. Cheers!
