How can I resize a Featured Image?
-
When I insert a featured image onto a webpage in the Dyad 2 theme, the image becomes zoomed and the image distorted. How do I prevent this from happening? I can only crop in edit media rather than scale.
If i do not use a featured image but simply insert an image on the page then the whole page becomes centralized.Any help would be appreciated

Hi there, due to the way the images are displayed on Dyad 2, there is going to be some cropping because the image proportions vary so much depending on the width of the screen/window the side is being viewed on. There really isn’t anything that can be done that would not require massive rewriting of the theme.
The best I can offer is to suggest you make the images the size recommended so that they are as sharp and clear as possible and then keep in mind that when the theme crops for the smaller more square-ish sizes it center weights the crop, so keep the most important part of the image near the center.

Hi,
On a post page, is it possible to make the featured image smaller? It currently takes up the left half of the page, which seems excessive.
Thank you!

Hi @auctoday, the text area to the right is sized so that it keeps the number of characters per line right around 66, which is the recommended number of characters for easy readability. Also, there is a setting for width on screens/windows wider than 1400px, and then one for screens/windows between 1400 and 1200 pixels in width. Where are you wanting to make the image smaller?
