How can I resolve an Export File Error Message?
-
Each time I have exported my blog, the output xml file shows an error message. An example is below:
“This page contains the following errors:
error on line 125 at column 32: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
error on line 126 at column 21: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”Each time, however, the line the error appears on is different, eg: first export on 6 June said:
“This page contains the following errors:
error on line 82 at column 32: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
error on line 83 at column 21: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”What do I need to do to properly locate and resolve this error?

Hi there,
Are you receiving this error message while creating the XML file or is it appearing when you try to upload the XML file to a new blog?
-
I receive it when I am creating the xml. I’m not going to upload to a blog yet. I’m just making sure I keep regular copies for backup.
Thanks.

Just tried to export the xml file again and get a similar error message for new lines:
“This page contains the following errors:
error on line 136 at column 32: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
error on line 137 at column 21: Namespace prefix atom on link is not defined
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.”I can only assume there is something fixed at a certain point that moves as I add more posts to my blog so that the error where the line appears keeps shifting.
What is the solution?

I was just able to create an Export file form your blog – mixedgems.wordpress.com – without a problem. Are you using any of the available filters when creating the XML file?
I’ve also just sent a copy of the XML file I created for your blog to your e-mail so that you can have it on hand.
-
No. I’m not using any filters. Just using the Export option from the Dashboard menu. I tried again and I couldn’t get it work. I got the same error as above. Also, I didn’t receive the email copy of the XML file. I wonder why you could generate the file but I couldn’t.

We sent the file to the Gmail address listed on your account. Can you perhaps check your spam folder just to make sure it didn’t accidentally get filtered into there?
