How can I restore my site?
-
Hello guys!
I purchased domain through Bluehost and created my site in WordPress about a month ago. At some point I tried to publish it and there was some sort of glitch in the WordPress system. In the top left corned on my dashboard there was a red button and the error message asking me to delete my site. I couldn’t open any of my web-site pages – everything was messed up. I had no choice, but delete the site. Now I am trying to recreate my site, and starting from the square one. The problem I am facing is: when I get to the page ‘Give your blog an address’, I enter domain that I already have from Bluehost, and WordPress says that it has been already taken. I confirm that I own this domain, and they offer transferring from the registrar and pay money for this. But, as far as I understand, Bluehost is a part of WordPress, and they should let me skip this step and let me start creating my site.
Please, advise me, guys, how I can move forward. It was frustrating to delete the whole web-site, and now I am stuck again….
Any recommendation is welcomed.
Thank you.

You don’t reveal the address of your site but as you say it was hosted at BlueHost then perhaps you should approach them for advice and see if your site still exists or not.
But, as far as I understand, Bluehost is a part of WordPress
BlueHost and WordPress.com (here) are two different places that each host sites. Perhaps your BlueHost site is/was using the WordPress.org software but that is just the software used to create the site.

You’re trying to create a new site here at WordPress.com. If you no longer want to be hosted at BlueHost, and are sure you have lost your site there then you can do that if you want. You’d need to purchase a Personal plan or higher and then you could map your domain to a WordPress.com site.
