How can I restore the Related Posts links in the Footer area?

  I used to have three “related posts” links with thumbnails in the primary widget area at the bottom of my posts, but it that feature has disappeared. I don’t remember how I added it in the first place, and can’t find mention of it on my Dashboard anywhere. Where is the Related Posts widget or plugin?

  I hunted around in the forums and found someone who said that you find this feature on the Dashboard in Settings>Reading. I found it and it was turned on, but not working, so I turned it off and on again, and now the Related Posts are back!
