  How can I restrict the length of comments ?

  You can’t. There is no feature that allows you to do this.

  Out of all the questions I’ve seen here, this is one of the few that probably should be available. Maybe Staff could look into the possibility?

  Websites are one-way noticeboards and blogs are focused on interactive communication. I cannot imagine why any blogger would want to “muzzle” commenters. I welcome the responses of my readers on my blogs. In cases where the comment rivals post length, I would simply choose to publish it as a guest post, with the commenter’s permission.
