How can I retrieve a post I lost when I tried to insert media?

I thought I had autosave, but when I went to insert media, I lost my entire post. How can I retrieve it. It has not been published.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

apparently, autosave is not every two minutes. my post wasn’t saved. is there a secret cache somewhere?
-
I wish there was. This is a well-known bug with the new Beep Beep Boop editor. My suggestion is to always use the Classic Editor instead. The autosave does not actually work with the new editor, although it appears to.

Ah, thank you. I drove myself crazy, thinking if there is an autosave, as they say there is, then I’ve got to find it. Now I can move on, write the damn post again, and remember to save, save, save.

Hi there,
The post editor at https://wordpress.com/post automatically saves drafts of your posts in your browser’s local storage. That means you can restore posts from your browser’s local storage by revisiting that editor. (You’ll see a prompt to restore the post there as long as a local revision is saved in your browser.)
However, I noticed that you’re using a fairly old version of Safari (version 5.1.10), in which case some features at WordPress.com may not work as expected. For the best experience, I’d recommend updating Safari if you can, or switching to the most recent version of a different browser. You can download the latest versions of popular browsers here: http://browsehappy.com/
