How can I retrieve my username?

  Cannot access my site for editing. I was automatically logged in till a computer crash. I have reset my password, using my email address, but still cannot access my site, dashboard, etc. I do not recognise the Blog URL attached to my email address. I have never used it.

  I have my own domain and website edwardsounds.com which I have designed and edited using WordPress. I have never used the Blog URL. I don’t even remember having it.

  I’m sorry but you have posted to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com and we run on different software. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/ If you have not registered a WordPress.org username account yet you can do so on the top right hand corner of the page I just linked to so you can post to those support forums.

  Thank you. I tried them first but my email address was unknown to them! And I get regular emails from WordPress.com News, so I thought I must be a member. Anyway, I’ll take it up with ORG.

  Hi, again. WordPress.ORG.support have no record of me and say I should be on this forum. I do not understand this after I’ve been editing the website for a year, using WordPress. Perhaps I’ll get to the bottom of it. Thank you anyway.

  WordPress.org and WordPress.com are completely separate and I don’t know why you question about what’s so obviously a WordPress.org install is being directed to WordPress.com. it makes no sense as WordPress.com does not host that blog.

  You weren’t registered with WP.org before. That’s why they didn’t have a record of you. You were, however, using that type of software before, as you are now.
