How can I retrieve the WordPress address that I accidentally deleted

  Hi everyone,

  Yesterday I made a stupid mistake by accidentally deleting a WordPress address (haleleads.wordpress.com), because I thought I could then transfer another blog (halelivefully.wordpress.com) to that address (haleleads.wordpress.come). Only then did I realize that the address had gone forever by my inadvertent misunderstanding.

  Could anybody please let me know if there is any way to retrieve that WordPress address (haleleads), so that I can transfer another blog to it? I definitely need that address since it should be the name of my startup. Thank you!

  You can’t. The blog, and the URL, are gone. Forever:

  haleleads.wordpress.com is no longer available.

  The authors have deleted this site.

  https://haleleads.wordpress.com/

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

  BTW, you have received multiple warnings before the deletion, even an e-mail.

  Thanks galois for your prompt answer (though I’d expect an iCAN(N) reply)!

  Is there some other way to circumvent this strict rule? I’m just wondering whether WordPress would consider modifying it, to… rule out such desperate (address-)losers as me?

  It might be a lost (at least for me) if my startup would one day start its name up without a matching WordPress site for… life

  (Should) I look forward to a Rule(-out) Amendment soon?!

  I’m afraid not.

  Fortunately, there is an infinite supply of unused blog addresses, so our policy should not limit your address selection. Note that if you add a custom domain for use with your blog, the original ‘wordpress.com’ domain/URL is never visible to your readers for as long as the custom domain is used on your blog.

  Thank you very much again for taking your precious time to help. Eventually, I am thinking about registering another domain name instead of the permanently deleled WordPress site. Even if the address still works without the part “WordPress” in my host, there will not be integration features as with integrating WordPress blog, for the site no longer exists in the WordPress haven.
