HOW CAN I REVERT TO CLASSIC (NO BLOCKS)?

    Hi – can anyone help me get rid of these blocks? I don’t want a classic block. I don’t want anything to do with blocks. It’s just vile to use. I’ve heard there’s a way to go back (PERMANENTLY?) to the old, Classic, good version. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi @kayrleitch, the only way to permanently go back is to run your own, older WordPress installation with another host, and manually apply security updates and patches. It’s work, but it’s doable if you’re determined.

    There’s no way to permanently avoid blocks and stay current with WordPress, though. Our forums staff and even our WordPress.com itself isn’t in charge of the direction of that. WordPress is a huge project :)

    But, we can surface any specific issues you’re running into. Can you go ahead and start a new thread with one issue that’s giving you the most trouble right now, following the guides and standards here?
