How can I search for blogs by topic?

  I assume blogs are categorized in WP, since it would be tedious to just scroll through hurdreds of them to find items of interest. So is there a directory of blogs by topic? BTW, so far I have not seen a way to specify subject headings for my own blog. I would also like to know how to do that. When an author offers a book through Amazon, for example, he or she is asked to list a few subject headings that apply to this publication. How do I do that for blogs, and how do I search for topic-tags on the blogs of others?

  We have global tags pages, which list the most popular blogs for a large number of subjects, see, for example:

  http://en.wordpress.com/tag/agnosticism/
  http://en.wordpress.com/tag/atheism/
  http://en.wordpress.com/tag/theism/

  If you categorize and tag your content properly, it could also show up on those pages.
