How can I see and comment to people in my wp reader from my self-hosted site?

My web designer and I are having a heck of a time getting all my settings to coincide with WP.com and my self-hosted site.
I would really like to know if someone can walk me through making certain that my self-hosted posts appear in the readers of my 1400+ subscribers, and that I am able to comment through the reader in response to comments I receive on the reader (which is currently not working for me). In essence, I need this to be right, and it is not happening currently.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Currently, it looks like all of your subscribers are still subscribed to blissfuladventurer.wordpress.com, not your self-hosted blog housewrighter.com as shown here:

    https://blissfuladventurer.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats&blog=14122207&blog_subscribers

In order for them to receive notifications when you post something new to your self-hosted site, the subscribers will need to be transferred over from blissfuladventurer.wordpress.com to housewrighter.com. I’m happy to do that for you – just reply back to confirm!

Another note, it looks like the majority of your subscribers are WordPress.com subscribers. While email subscribers of blissfuladventurer.wordpress.com will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site. Here’s the best plan going forward:

    1. Post a notice on your WordPress.com site highlighting that you’ll be moving to a self-hosted site and that you’re bringing over your subscribers.

    2. Add a subscriptions widget to your sidebar. In the post from step #1, encourage WordPress.com users to subscribe using the link on your new self-hosted blog. This way, they will receive new post emails, not just posts in their Reader.

    3. I’ll transfer the current subscribers from your WordPress.com site to your self-hosted site.

    How does that sound?

I am able to comment through the reader in response to comments I receive on the reader (which is currently not working for me)

You will not be able to use the Reader to comment and respond to comments on your self-hosted blog. You can use the Reader to follow your site and review the latest postings, but you will need to comment directly from your self-hosted site. Does that make sense?
