How Can I See Who Follows My Blog

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve seen this question before but none of the suggestions are helping me. When I go to my Stats there is no link for me to follow to see my subscribers/followers.
Am I missing something? According to the info in my Stats I have 217 followers from Facebook. How can I tell if they are real or spam?

Thanks for any help, and sorry for repeating previously asked questions.

There are several different ways that readers can start following your blog.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/

Your blog followers is the sum of the following:

    • WordPress.com blog followers
    • Any followers from connected Publicize services (Facebook, Twitter, Messenger Connect, Yahoo!, or LinkedIn), which you can check in Settings -> Sharing

Go to your site stats page and click Totals, Followers & Shares
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#totals-followers-shares

Click the Blog link under the number and the Site Stats » My Followers page will open. Click the Email Followers link.

As I said above a follower or anyone with a WordPress.com username account can click the “like” button without visiting your blog and creating a page view stat.

    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts in the Readomatic reader on the home page of WordPress.com
    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts on the Topics pages.
    • A follower can click the “like” button when viewing your posts when using an app.
    • An email subscriber can click the “like” button in the email they receive of your new posts without visiting your blog.

P.S. To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post I have set my RSS Feed to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading

Hi. I found this thread because I’m having the same trouble as hotflashez. Your answer is great, but is for a wordpress.com blog. I have a wordpress.org blog and want to see my followers from the dashboard of my admin page. Even though a followers list shows up on a wordpress.com dashboard, it doesn’t (by default) on a wordpress.org page. Is there a way to make that happen (on a wordpress.org blog)?

  • @stacydymalski, hi there. I can understand your frustration, but since this is the wordpress.com forums, you probably won’t find much resolution here. Try over on wordpress.org (http://wordpress.org/support/) – they should be able to help you out.
    Good luck!
