How can I select a different page as my home page, or select a page as my post?
-
I am new to the new updated lay out of wordpress.com, and am unfamiliar with the recent changes.
I would like to know how can I select a page as my home page? The option menu that used to be there that would let me do it is no longer there.

Hello there. If you go to My Site>Pages>All Pages, find the page you want and click in the ellipsis. It will show some options and one of them is Set as Homepage.

Hi.
There used to be an option pop up menu, but now the options are right next to the page, and the only options I can find are trash page, edit in block editor, and edit in classic editor.

The issue is that the option menu that the instructions state should be there is missing.

Hi @storygenie5
I noticed that you’ve set your Pages interface to use the wp-admin view, and in this case the option to set the homepage is in the WordPress.com view.
You can find that by clicking on the “screen options” tab at the upper right, then selecting the new view.
If you prefer to stay in the wp-admin view, you can also set your homepage via the customizer.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

To select the new view you have to click on the “Screen Options” on the top-right of your screen and then click on the “Use WordPress.com View” button. You can see staff-totoro’s screenshot above.
