How can I send a republished post to email subscribers.
-
I have followed the instructions for republishing a post — change the status to draft then either rescheduling it for a new time or just publishing without changing the time. The post appears in the right spot on my website and it shows up in the reader. But it doesn’t go to email subscribers or Twitter followers. What am I doing wrong?

I think you could be referring to this issue. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/auto-post-to-facebook-twitter-from-scheduled-wpposts-has-stopped-working?replies=18 Please post into it as Staff are helping there.

I have had an almanac for the past year — daily posts specific to a given day. I want to republish a post from (for example) March 14, 2013 on March 14, 2014. I have been able to do this by changing the post to a draft and republishing it. It appears as a new post. It also appears in the WordPress reader, but no notice goes to email subscribers, even though the directions in the Help section say it should.

I checked the other thread. I don’t think my issue is the same. New posts work just the way they should. I found out I can go to the new post page and use the copy a post function to create a new identical post, then go back to the original post and delete it (or else it will show as a related post). For some reason the photo will not show on my main page, so I need to reload it or use a new photo. It’s a little more cumbersome, but it gets what I want if there isn’t an easier way.
