How can I set my site up so that the front page is a category of posts rather than all posts?

My blog is a mix of posts some of which are categorized as announcements. Currently my site opens with all posts in reverse chronological order. Is there a way to open it with a category of posts such as “announcements”?

    Hello there!

I think the best solution for you would be to make your announcement posts “sticky.” It appears as if you may have already tried this method on October 24th. This way, they’ll always be pinned at the top of your blog page until you decide to remove them.

Here is more information on creating sticky posts, if you like:

A category page cannot act as your home page, however.

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
