How can I set up menu choices with sub-menu options that include posts?
-
My address is shellybernal.wordpress.com. I changed the theme to Nuntius with the hopes of organizing my information better. I want to have options listed A, B, C, etc. Within each option I would like to add posts. I can’t figure out how to make this happen. I have watched custom menus video and read everything I can related to menus and I am not understanding how to accomplish this task. Please Help!

Howdy,
This section details how to add posts to your custom menu:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-tag-pages-and-posts-to-your-menuBe sure to enable “Posts” in the Screen Options tab. You can find Screen Options on the Appearance -> Menus page.
Don’t hesitate to contact us again if you need anymore help. :-)

Thank you so much for the reply! Unfortunately I have now done something terribly wrong and am getting a 404 Not Found error on my blog with some message about “Well this is somewhat embarrassing”. I am optimistic that I’m making simple mistakes that can be easily corrected, but I just haven’t cracked the code yet!
1. Under Theme Locations I have 3 options. I set Primary Menu to “Home”.
2. To the right of that I have set up a menu named “Home”. I don’t know if the automatic add new top level pages should be checked or not, so it is unchecked.
3. There is one grey box underneath that has “custom” and a down arrow that I have named “blog”. This includes a url, navigation label and title attribute. The url is http://shellybernal.wordpress.com/. Is this wrong? For some reason, this is showing up with the error mentioned earlier.
Thank you for your assistance. -
You have that all correct, but the 404 is not related to your menu.
You have your front page set to display your latest posts, but you don’t have any published posts. Once you publish a post, the error will go away.
Alternatively, you can assign a different front page following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Thank you very much. I was able to eliminate the 404.
I have been reading through the forums on another issue and followed the advice I received, but a like on a post still is not visible. These are the steps that I learned about on the forum and followed:
1. Settings – Sharing – check mark for show a like button and who has liked my post
2. Posts – All Posts – the number 1 is listed in the star column for a post – I clicked on edit for that particular post – check mark for show likes on this post – update. In addition, for that particular post I pulled down screen options and the check mark is on for likes and shares for show on screen
The like still doesn’t show on the front page. Do you have another suggestion? Thank You! -
Likes will not show on the front page, they only display on the single post/page view, for example: http://shellybernal.wordpress.com/2012/03/21/intern-sues-for-unpaid-wages/

Well, that would explain the likes not showing up! Thank you very much for clarifying that for me.
Can you please assist me with another detail? I would like for my list of posts to “display” more than just the title. For example, in the menu, I have a blank page established as a bookmark and then a category filed underneath it. When I click on that in wordpress I get the listing of titles of the posts. What I would really like is to get the posts to appear because each one contains a picture. Am I going about this all the wrong way? Thank You! -
Unfortunately, that’s how your particular theme works. There’s no way to change that in this case.
