How can I share a public spotify playlist on my sidebar as a widget?
-
Hi,
I would like to post my public spotify playlist on the sidebar of my blog in a widget. However I can’t find any tutorials that describe how to do this. The tutorials only tell you how to share in in a post. What I want is to post the playlist on the sidebar permanently, and that it updates whenever I update the playlist as well. Is this possible?
I’ve tried posting the Spotify URI in a text widget, and also making it a post first and then copying it somehow into a widget. I can’t find a way to do this.
Help please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh my goodness, I actually managed to do it myself by pure coincidence and luck. This is what I did:
1) I made a post on my blog with the URl from Spotify and postet it on my blog following these steps: https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/widgets/adding-widgets-to-websites/
2) I went to my blog and watched the post I just made. I then clicked this little icon on the top right of the Spotify player. It looks like this: </>
Then you’ll get two pieces of information, the first of which is “embed code”. I copied that whole thing.3) Go to your widgets and add a new “Text” widget. Then paste the “embed code” in the text window and save.
That’s it!
