How can i show short content for a blog in home page.

  Hi, I am new to wordpress. i just added 2 posts. I need to show only some content related to that post in home page and when the post is clicked then i need to show full details for that post. But here in all themes full content of the 2 posts is displaying.

  Appreciate your help.
