How can I skip the wordpress.com step?

I created a blog in November to do with my sister. I made an email account for it and used a password for it that I thought she would remember. Problem is, she and I both forgot the passwords.

Now I’d like to just connect that blog with my current blog. I thought I could just create it again as ________.com instead of wordpress.com – But using my iPhone it won’t let me do that. Suggestions? Is there a way to retrieve my passwords and connect the two blogs?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Here’s the help page on recovering your account if you’ve, for example, forgotten the password. If the regular password reset doesn’t work or you no longer have access to that email, fill out the account recovery form which is linked at the bottom of the support doc: http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

You’ll have to have access to that account in order to transfer the blog to your account. And all free blogs on WP.com have the .wordpress.com address. To simply have a .com address you’ll need to buy a custom domain, that’s why you’re unable to create it.
