How can I stop a page showing in the home page menu bar

I want to add a free ebook to an opt-in page and send subscribers to a separate page that is not visible to the public. I have tried the “exclude” wp plugin – that did not work. I am also trying mPressHidefromSearch but that does not seem to be working either??
Can you tell me what i need to do Please? -
What is the URL of your site?
From your discussion of “plugins” it sounds as though you are hosted elsewhere than WordPress.com since we cannot add plugins here.
