How can I stop Spam emails being sent using my wordpress account?

  Spam emails are being sent using amberbnb. My hosting company say that I need to upgrade my wordpress version. I can’t see how to do that.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Your site amberbnb.wordpress.com is hosted at WordPress.com. We take care of all upgrades for you so there isn’t an option to upgrade your WordPress version. Everyone at WordPress.com is automatically running the latest version of WordPress.

  Can you let me know a bit more about the emails (what address they’re coming from, the contents of the email, etc)?

  The spam email is using part of my address. I have set up only 1 address on amberbnb which is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Spam is making up other addresses i.e. (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff). I’m getting messages back from (email visible only to moderators and staff), Mail Delivery System and Mailer-Daemon saying Delivery failed. I had ignored these but now my email provider is restricting my email to 2 emails an hour and I need to resolve this. I have my (email visible only to moderators and staff) inbox redirected to my (email visible only to moderators and staff) inbox.
  I appreciate any help you can give.

  Hi Trish,

  Unfortunately, I don’t believe I’m going to be of much help. We don’t have any control over the email addresses associated with your domain. The custom email address you have setup at amberbnb.com isn’t created through WordPress.com. Your domain amberbnb.com also isn’t using WordPress.com name servers so any DNS records you inserted at WordPress.com are in effect. I would recommend reaching out to your email provider and asking them about the additional addresses!
