How can I stop WordPress Reader from scaling up my images beyond resolution?
-
In my blog images are not important. I usually use just a few thumbnail-sized symbols for decoration. However, I found out that when people follow my blog, what they see in their WordPress Readers is these thumbnail-sized images blown up to maybe four times the size and consequently they look very ugly.
Is it possible to make Reader keep the original small size of the image? Alternatively can I choose not to have images shown in the WordPress Reader, but still have them on my actual blog?
Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?
Otherwise please send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

Sorry for the long delay in replying. I’m using Safari, but I had the same problem in other bowsers. I don’t have a screenshot, because I figured out a way to fix the problem.
I made new images that contain the same small object but have a larger transparent (or white) background. It seems that an image has to be at least 200 pixels wide in order not to be stretched in the WordPress Reader. -
I’m glad you were able to fix the problem. We’ve registered your feedback and will keep it in mind for future features and updates!
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
