How can i structure my posts. .

well i need help in general. I am fairly new to wordpress.com. it has a very professional look and feel to it.
what i am wanting to know is how i can structure posts. (I am used to blogger)
as i would like to blog on several different subject in my site. i would like to have each post categorised into subjects. I am sure it can be easily achieved.
in addition to the main post structure can I have each subjects posts displayed on the page about them just an overview.would do.these are my main things to work out at the moment. i can pritty much blog and create pages and other basic things already.

This should get you going.
At wordpress.com, you organize posts by categorizing them and then you can either put the categories widget into the sidebar, or you can create a custom menu and put the categories into the custom menu.
If you do not want all the posts to show on the main page, then you can create a static front page for your site. If you wish, you can also create a “blog” page, but you do not have to if you do not want to.

ok i have now come accross this. i have placed a page under another page. and i cant see a link to it on my site.where do pages go. i would like to know this please. its highly confusing. me at this time. .

yes i made a child page under another page as a test. cant access it except knowing the web link or from dashboard.

If you’re using a Custom Menu, you need to put the child page into it. They don’t update dynamically, that’s the whole point of them.

Most themes here do not natively support dropdown menus. You have to create a custom menu and then make your own dropdowns. See the links I provided above.
